Bay Arabian stallion about 15 hands high noted for his exceptional beauty and refinement.

Imported from Aleppo, Syria by Thomas Darley in 1704 and stood at Aldby Park, siring Flying Childers and later becoming the
great-great-grandsire of the amazing and extremely influential Eclipse.

The Darley Arabian became the most important sire in the history of the English Thoroughbred with 95% of modern
Thoroughbred's Y-chromosome tracing back to this single stallion.
